ABOUT THE DESIGNER
AINSLIE PIECHULIK
Ainslie has been passionate about art and design from a young age, inspired by growing up with a family of creatives in an architecturally-designed home nestled amidst nature in the Perth hills. Learning the powerful influence of surroundings on our psyche led to her dedication to crafting beautiful spaces that inspire, uplift, create calm, and foster wellbeing.
With her husband, Andreas, Ainslie has renovated and decorated several Perth beauty studios and homes, recently designing their forever home in Maylands, which includes a home studio and landscaped gardens. All design choices from home layout to landscaping to selection of hardware, soft furnishings, plants, and artwork, were made by Ainslie.
Design is not just what Ainslie does, it is who she is. She constantly seeks out beautiful spaces to recharge and get inspiration and is always finding ways to improve life through design. Beautiful spaces and objects are an extension of her internal world.
Even when she’s not designing spaces, Ainslie is analysing and studying them. She views each and every project as a unique opportunity to explore new contrasts, shapes, textures, and materials and is continuously studying and learning about art, architecture, building materials, furniture, home and garden design. She is also interested in Feng Shui and merges these ancient principles with contemporary interior design in her pursuit of perfectly balanced spaces.
Balance, especially, has always been a fascination for Ainslie. Specifically, the placement of objects in relation to each other to create harmony. She has a deeply intuitive sense of balance – whether it be when perfecting a space, or perfecting a face (she has been an eyebrow specialist for 16+ years). As a design consultant, Ainslie loves seeing the positive effects that home makeovers have on her clients in the same way she loves seeing the positive effects her eyebrow makeovers have on them.
Ainslie has the ability to know exactly what’s missing or out of place in a space, the adding or subtracting of which miraculously brings the space to completion.
At the heart of Ainslie’s design service is guidance. She loves helping people bring their vision to life, reducing the stress of decorating, renovating and/or decision-making whilst being ever mindful of your goals, lifestyle, aspirations, and emotional experience of the space.
Ainslie’s favourite part of each project is seeing the peace clients have in their new space.

WORK WITH AINSLIE
Ainslie’s consultation fee is $150, which includes a 1.5 hour onsite consult and follow-up recommendations and communications as well as provision of items/props (eg. rugs, side tables, cushions, art) as visualisation aids and inspiration if required.
